My husband was talking about having some "down" time this evening, and I made some comment about how nice it is to actually have and enjoy "down" time.
He laughed at me.
Apparently I don't have "down" time because I always have my nose in a book or am on my computer during my free time. "Down" time apparently refers to mindless time spent in front of the television, where no thought or concentration is necessary.
And I thought some time curled up with a good book was "down" time. I guess I should call it "up" time, then? I always feel good when I'm reading a good book.
